Gladys Marie Cockrill Higgs passed away in Bowie, Texas on Sunday, July 9, 2023. She was born in Sanger, Texas on December 21, 1932 to Charlie and Mattie Cockrill. Gladys enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack Cockrill.

Gladys is survived by her daughter Paula Polley and son Stanley Higgs, 3 granddaughters; Lori Truhe of Krum, TX, Katherine Garza of Hillsboro, TX and Courtney Williams (Joe) of San Marcos, TX and 5 great grandchildren.

Gladys worked at Turbo Refrigeration, Allied Moving and Storage and was a Real Estate Agent/Broker in Denton TX for many years.

A graveside service will be held at Tyson Cemetery at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 12, 2023.
