Glenda L. Fleischman, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, July 13th, 2024. Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Glenda lived a life full of love, passion, and dedication to her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lauren G. Fleischman, daughter, Kristine Jo, son, Gary Allen, and siblings, Pat Chase, Bev Lyon, and Max Rietfors.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Wendy Pizarro; her cherished grandson, Derek Pizarro, along with his wife, Ashtin; her sister, Carol Pryor; her daughter in law, Vera Fleischman; Glenda's loving partner, Richard Heiser, and their beloved dog, Molly. Additionally, she leaves behind her grandson, Gared Cox, and his wife, Christal; grandson, Michael Fleischman, and his partner, Roberta; grandson, Christopher Fleischman; and granddaughter, Amanda Schulte, and her partner, Bryce. Glenda was also blessed with 17 great-grandchildren.
Glenda's life was a testament to her profound love for family and friends. Her passion for horses and rodeo was a central part of her life, a joy she eagerly shared with her daughter, Wendy, through their years of showing horses together. Beyond the show ring, Glenda devoted much of her time to teaching children the art of riding and supporting their participation in horse shows, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives. Her talent and dedication earned her numerous accolades, including several High Point awards and the prestigious Novice of The Year title in amateur rodeo competitions.

Glenda found great fulfillment in visiting her "kiddos" (grandchildren) and their families, creating precious memories with each visit. She especially cherished taking her grandson, Derek, and his friends on fun trips to monuments, concerts, and events. Glenda was a passionate Nebraska Cornhuskers and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved watching games and discussing all things football with Derek. She loved celebrating the holidays with family, making every occasion special with yearly traditions.
Glenda's warmth and light touched countless lives, fostering lasting friendships both in Nebraska and Texas. She met her long-time partner, Richard, in the summer of 2005, and together they created beautiful memories, whether at home with family, traveling, or dancing the night away. Glenda was an exceptional dancer, and she found great joy in sharing her love for dance with Richard and her many friends. She taught them numerous steps and line dances, leaving a legacy of joy and rhythm on every dance floor she graced.
Glenda's vibrant spirit, her love for life, and her dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, passion, and cherished memories.
