Glenda Carol (McKinney) Jones passed away at her home in Krum, TX on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born in Wise County Texas on January 11, 1941 to Ned and Burtis McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children Marshall Don Boyd and Carol Elena Boyd, and younger brother Jerry McKinney.

Glenda is survived by her youngest brother Marshall McKinney, son Mike Boyd, daughter Lisa and son-in-law Mike Jessie, grandchildren Jeff Henzler (Jennifer), Patrick Mayo (Ashley), Kadi Mayo, Jacob Walker (Becca), Madeline Jessie, Sarah Jessie, and her precious great-grandchildren.

Daughter (of both earthly parents and of God), sister, wife, mother, grand- & great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend: Glenda embodied each of these roles with a pure and selfless love. Her story, indelibly marked by both deep sorrow and sweet joy, was one defined by absolute devotion to her relationship with God and others. She loved the beauty of the natural world, tending a garden, giving generously of her time to serve her community, turning paint into lovely works of art, lifting her family up in prayer, and blessing us with her rich alto singing voice. With just the right amount of sassiness to spice the sweet, she got a kick out of crushing us (if she could) in countless games of Wahoo, gloating (graciously) over it.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 25, 2025 at New Life First Baptist Church in Krum, TX with graveside service at Krum Jackson Cemetery following. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the church afterwards.
