Gloria "Chickie" Morris, 95 of Denton passed away on September 13, 2017 in Denton. She was born on March 30, 1922 in Vieques Island, Puerto Rico.
Our precious "Momma" and "Grandmama" became an Army nurse where she met her soulmate - Gene G Morris. Most of their married life took place in Denton, Tx. Chickie got her Master's degree in Art History at TWU. She often used her talents for Benefit League and anywhere she saw a need. She was a good friend to many and was full of fun and energy.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Storms (Duane) of Frisco, sons; Marc Morris (Gitta) of Denton and Michael Morris (Lisa)of Corpus Christie, Texas: grandsons; John (Jessica) Morris, Christopher Morris, Matthew (Katie) Morris, Kenneth (Angie) Morris and David (Callie) Morris and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Morris and her granddaughter Natalie Gale.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 6-8 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directo
