IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gloria Marie
Taylor
October 3, 1932 – February 9, 2022
Gloria Marie Taylor, 89, of Denton, passed away on February 9, 2022, in Denton, Texas. She was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma on October 3, 1932 to George and Marie (Gutenberg) Hubble.
If you knew Gloria Taylor, you loved her. She was a strong woman of faith, the heart and soul of her family, loved beyond measure by her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was a fiercely loyal friend, a lover of adventure and travel like no other! Just say the words "Would you like to go….?" and she would have her bags packed before you could finish your sentence, not needing to know a destination! Traveling, cruising, camping, white water rafting, four wheeling…she was up for anything!
Gloria never met a stranger and could make anyone feel comfortable and valued. She possessed a zeal for life, keeping her young at heart in ways few 89-year-olds can claim. She never lost this zest for life, and in the process taught others how to live. Gloria Marie Taylor was one of a kind.
All who met her were especially blessed to know her, to love her, to call her Mother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Jernigan and husband Henry, of Denton, Ann McFadden and husband Kim, of Mountain Springs, Tx., sons, Scott Taylor of Trenton, Tx., and Robert Taylor and wife Donna of Sanger, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Taylor, and her sister, Roselyn Coonse.
A Mass will be held on Monday, February 28, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, Texas.
