IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gordan Dale
Rice
June 29, 1974 – April 18, 2025
Gordan Dale Rice, 50, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2025, at his home. He was born in Bedford, Texas, to Garry Mason and Deborah Diane (Thornhill) Rice on June 29, 1974.
Gordan graduated from Frisco High School then served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Jennifer Diane Sinclair on June 26, 1999, in Denton, Texas at McKinney Street Baptist Church. Gordan returned to college and graduated from University of Texas at Dallas and became a history teacher and coach.
Gordan was a Christian and loved to share his faith while working with teenagers in the youth ministry. Many summers were spent volunteering with camps and trips as a chaperone and mentor. One of Gordan's passions was working with teenagers and young adults and helping them in any way possible. He made an impact on many lives while teaching history and coaching in several local schools, fostering friendships that lasted for many years.
Gordan enjoyed watching sports including Dallas Cowboys football and college football. He also enjoyed time spent with family. He made the most of any situation and his boisterous laugh was contagious and a fond memory for anyone who knew him. However, Gordan's greatest joy and love was being a husband to Jennifer and a father to Savannah and Tyler.
Gordan is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rice of Little Elm, Texas, daughter, Savannah Rice of Little Elm, Texas, son, Tyler Rice of Little Elm, Texas, and his mother, Deborah (Debbie) Thornhill, of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by a large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Garry Rice, and his sister, Konye Rice.
