Grace Pauline Crumbie passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026, in Denton, Texas. 

Born on July 31, 1927, in San Antonio, Texas, Grace lived a life marked by devotion to her calling and those she loved. Grace and her husband Earl loved taking yearly trips to the Texas coast spending time with their family. Once their children moved away she and Earl loved taking cruises. They were married for over 50 years. 

Grace's journey was deeply rooted in service, choosing nursing as her career where she exemplified empathy, strength, and unwavering commitment. Her vocation was not just a job but a reflection of her character—caring for others with kindness and grace.

She was the beloved daughter of Otto and Isabel Janert, who have preceded her in death. Grace was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Crumbie; and her grandson, Chris Carter.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Pat Standley, Paula Carter and her husband Ron, and Peggy Simone. Grace’s legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren: Alan Standley and his wife Maegan, Shane Carter, Chance Carter, Jason Carter, Rachel Simone, Tyler Simone, and the memory of her late grandson, Chris Carter, whose wife, Jennica Carter, remains a cherished member of the family.

She was blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride. 

Grace will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her strength, kindness, and the guidance she provided throughout her life. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. 

A graveside service to honor and remember Grace Pauline Crumbie will be held on June 19, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Roselawn Memorial Park located at 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas 76207.

Grace Pauline Crumbie's life was one of quiet strength and heartfelt dedication. She leaves behind a legacy of care that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory remains a beautiful chapter in the story of those who love her, forever honored and lovingly held.
