Gracie L. Coulter, 93, lifelong resident of Denton County passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Countryside Rehabilitation and Nursing in Pilot Point.
She was born March 18, 1922 in Denton County to John William Mills, Sr. and Dollie Brown Mills. She married Alfred Coulter on July 19, 1939 in Marietta, OK. They were married 70 years when he passed away on November 9, 2009.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sanger. She and her husband were honored in 2007 as the couple with the longest marriage. She worked for many years as a salesclerk, retiring in 1984 from North Texas Electronics.
She is survived by her daughter, Roselita Pennington of Pilot Point, sons, Harry Coulter of Sanger and Jerry Coulter of Denton, brother, Robert Mills of Denton, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 brothers, John Jr. and Calvin Mills.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5 – 7 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Sanger on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. E.L. "Skip" McNeal officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.
