Gustavo Guerra Sr., of Krum, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his home. He was known as Gus to everyone. Gus was 86 and was born in Donna, Texas, on October 30,1938. He was the oldest son of Eusebio and Amelia Guerra.

He retired from Victor Equipment Company, after 39 years. He enjoyed walking around Krum for exercise. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church on N. Bonnie Brae, In Denton.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father. His sister Evangelina Cavazos and her husband Mike. His brothers Jose Oscar Guerra Sr., Margarito D. Guerra, and Eusebio Guerra Jr.

Gus is survived by, his wife of 63 years, Gregoria. His oldest son Gustavo Guerra Jr., and his wife Sherri, and daughter Ella. His daughter Alicia Kimberlin Guerra. His youngest son Armando Guerra. His sister Amelia Guerra of Devine, Texas. His sister-in-law's Irma Guerra of Muscatine, Iowa, Primitiva Guerra of Lawton, Michigan, and Maria Guerra of Bryan, Texas.

A visitation service will be held at Deberry Funeral Directors on 2025 W. University Dr., Denton, Texas, at 5:00pm-7:00pm on January 8, 2025. A rosary will be said at 5:00pm on the same day. Funeral service will be held on January 9, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church on 2255 N. Bonnie Brae St., Denton, TX. 76207, at 10:30am.
