Harold Keith Fisher, born on August 27, 1936, in Canton, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2025. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, known for his service in the U.S. Army and his long career with the U.S. Department of Defense as a Cartographer/Geodesist at the Defense Mapping Agency in St. Louis, MO.
Harold graduated from West High School in Wichita, Kansas, and furthered his education at Wichita State University. He married Jane Schaffner on October 24, 1964, at St. Peters United Church of Christ in New Haven, MO, and together they built a loving family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jane Fisher, his sons Keith Fisher and wife Marina, Michael Fisher and wife Caroline, and his cherished grandchildren Brandon, Dmitri, Jessica, and Ryan. He also leaves behind his sister Elma Adams and nephew Brad Klaassen.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Doyle Fisher and Serena Brandly, his father and mother-in-law Joy and Vera Schaffner, his brother-in-law Robert Adams, and his nephew Barry Klaassen.
A funeral service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 1, 2024. Harold will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO, honoring his service to his country.
