Harvey Harley Beggs Jr. passed away in Frisco, Texas on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. He was born in San Bernardino, CA on June 17, 1934 to Harvey and Isabell Beggs.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers William and Edward Grubbs.

As a Navy veteran he served his country in the Korean War. He spent most of his career in the telecom industry with GTE California where he retired in 1988.  He lived in California, Arizona, Arkansas and Oklahoma before settling in Texas in 2015. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 69 years Phyllis Beggs; his son Michael Beggs and daughter Brenda McConnell, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.


Harvey will be laid to rest at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
