Juan Hipolito Valdes Reyes. , father, friend and Christian departed this life January 26, 2020. He was born, August 13, 1940 in Habana, Cuba to Jose de la Paz Valdes Castillo and Caridad Reyes Bacallao. He worked in Florida, New Jersey, Manhattan, New York City and New Orleans, Louisiana at Tulane University before retiring. After Hurricane Katrina, Don Hipolito, settled in Denton, Texas attending Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Don Hipolito is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his son, Juan Carlos Valdes Olivera (Mermayda), Karelia Olivera Álvarez who live in La Habana, Cuba.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Juan Hipolito on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Chapel located at 2255 North Bonnie Brae. Funeral prayer service and Interment followed at the Immaculate Conception Columbarium.
