IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Holden Kristopher
Anderson
January 16, 1999 – January 22, 2018
Holden Kristopher Anderson of Corinth, Texas sadly passed away on January 22 nd , 2018 at the age of 19. He was born on January 16 th , 1999 in Arlington, TX. He attended elementary schools in Corsicana and Arlington, Texas and middle school and high school in Lake Dallas, Texas. At the time of his death Holden was on the President's list with a 4.0 GPA at NCTC with his sights set on a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Holden was smart and funny and generous and kind and always willing to help others. From his dad he took a love of music, a dark sense of humor, a certain shyness in large crowds or new situations and a love of skittles and Dr. Pepper. From his mom he took (thankfully) his good looks, his sensitivity, his idea of right and wrong, and his big personality that came alive when surrounded by those he was comfortable with.
Holden was an accomplished musician and songwriter. He paid for and built a home recording studio himself and, beginning around age 13, recorded 6 albums of original songs, singing and playing all the instruments. Holden loved animals, knew sign language, was a great cook, and was a wonderful big brother despite a nearly 13 year age difference. He was an exceptional artist who filled countless notebooks with drawings, poems, song lyrics, and ideas for movies, books, and future artistic endeavors.
Holden loved The Office, Parks and Rec, and Rick & Morty. His favorite movies were "Boyhood" and "Almost Famous." He loved the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Kendrick Lamar, Bright Eyes and going to concerts. He loved playing basketball, starred in track and football in middle and high school, and despite intense pressure from his Grandpa to become a Green Bay Packers fan, he was a true blue Cowboys fan.
Holden was preceded in death by great-great grandmother Aletha Bell Maxwell of Gatesville; great grandparents Morris and Barbara Bruce of Corsicana, and great grandmothers Evelyn Anderson of Corsicana and Linda Lee of Corsicana; and cousin Jessica Anderson Ferguson of Corsicana.
Holden is survived by his mom and step-dad Trish and Stuart Kinsman of Corinth, and dad and step-mom Marc Anderson and Kim Dacus of Denton; sister Destini Anderson and brothers Beckett Anderson and Cooper Kinsman; great-grandmother Dorothy Dacus of Dallas and great-grandfather David Lee of Corsicana; grandparents Phil and Laura McClendon of Arlington, Bonnie and Mike Anthony of Odessa, David and Sue Kinsman of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Edgar and Debbra Anderson of Corsicana and Mark and Cindy Dacus of Flower Mound; his best-friend Peyton Kranz of Corinth and his longtime girlfriend Megan Gordon of Flower Mound and countless aunts, uncles and cousins all across Texas.
