Hollis Taylor, Jr., of Bedford, Texas passed away on August 17, 2025 at the age of 89 after a long illness.

Born on December 31, 1935 in Greenville, Mississippi, Hollis Jr. was the son of Hollis Sr. and Letha Belle Taylor. He and his parents moved frequently throughout his childhood across Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas where he developed a love for baseball and hunting with his dad. He graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Hollis had a long, successful career in business. After several years in business consulting, he moved into various executive roles in the restaurant industry and was the President and CEO of Pancho's Mexican Buffet from 1979 until his retirement in 2001.

He was married to Dora Theresa (Terri) Taylor for 32 years. They were active members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, Texas, and together they enjoyed traveling and entertaining friends and family at their home. Hollis was also an avid golfer and in retirement enjoyed weekly rounds with his group of golfing buddies.

He is survived by his five children whom he shared with Patty Cash, his former wife of 20 years: Gregg (Kim) Taylor, Todd (Kelli) Taylor, Amy Taylor, Lela Anne Naggar, and Patrick Dean (Erin) Taylor, as well as eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terri Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on September 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, Texas.
