Holly Duckett Mills, 51, of Argyle, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2017 in Denton, Texas.  She passed away peacefully with her husband and daughter by her side following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on September 13, 1965 in Hickory, N.C. to Donald and Chris (Clark) Duckett. Holly married the love of her life and her soulmate Richard Mills in Hickory, N.C. in July 2001 and it was there that the adventure began.

Holly grew up in Hickory, N.C. where she attended Hickory High School and Catawba Community College. She obtained an Accounting degree from DeVry University in 2005 and was employed with Quest Resource Management. She and her family moved to Charlotte, N.C. Denver Co and settled in Argyle, TX in 2012. She had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling and camping and was known to enjoy riding with her husband on their motorcycle.

Holly was a devoted wife and mother and spoke of her husband and children with pride always with a smile on her face. She was an intelligent and hard working woman with an infectious smile and beautiful dimples. In addition to a full time career in accounting she was a distributor for Scentsy and enjoyed being around people and the interaction this brought. Baptized into the Baptist church her faith in God was steadfast and throughout her life she always had a positive and uplifting outlook on life, especially during her battle with cancer.

Holly is survived by her husband, Richard Mills, daughter, Chelsea Mills of Keller, TX, son, Joshua Kiziah of Oklahoma, OK., and mother, Chris Clark of Granite Falls, N.C.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Duckett.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Pastor Ruffin Snow will be officiating.
