Holly June "Junebug" Smith, 48, of Sanger, Tx, passed away on February 1, 2025, after a 2-year battle with MMMT cancer.
Holly was born on Oct. 2, 1976, to Johnny L & Aora B (Howell) Smith in Denton, Tx. She attended Sanger High School, where she participated in many school activities and was a member of the Sanger Charmer Drill Team. She graduated from Sanger High School in 1995 and went on to study Business at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas.

After several jobs, she spent her last 20 years at Elite Door and Trim, Denton, Tx, where she won several awards for service and excellence. Holly felt very blessed by the support of her long-time employer throughout her battle with cancer.
Holly enjoyed many activities, but her biggest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Holly was predeceased by her grandparents, Emerson Ray & Cherry June (Powers) Smith and Aora P. Howell, Jr and Patricia Lee (Whiteside) Howell. She is survived by her parents, Johnny & Aora Smith; three children, Brittany & husband Marc Rhoades, Whittney & partner Jesse James and Chastin Murphy & partner Emily Nester, all of Sanger, Tx. ; 5 grandchildren:  Remington Reid Rhoades, Jaxon Tyler Ball, Noah Jamison Smith, Asher Ray Allen, Ryder Lee Allen and Nova June James; her brother, Johnny R & Sarah (Rowlett) Smith, Denton,Tx. half-brother Israel Cantu of Ft. Worth, TX, half-sister's Shasta (Parker) & Jimmy Kolshak, Denton, TX and Shelley Yeager, Quinlin, TX; along with many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins, who mourn her passing.
She had many who called her "Mom" and very special childhood friendships that lasted her lifetime.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home, Denton, Texas, at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 22, 2025.
