Hulon Jones Sharpton, 63, of Denton passed away on August 29, 2015 in Denton, Texas. Hulon was born in 1951 to Jack and Betty Sharpton in Duluth, Georgia (deceased.)

Jones Sharpton was a working man all his life. He could fix anything, and was the best A/C man in Denton, TX. At the time of his death he was working at UNT as a maintenance technician.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge, and was a charter member of the Decatur Country Club as an avid golfer.

He is survived by his children: Matthew Jones Sharpton of Ottawa, KS; Rebecca Loreen Sharpton of Austin, TX; and Shelley Haynes of Norman, OK. Grandchildren: Ethan, Emma, Edyn, Charlie, Andrew, and Iden. His sister and brothers: Ann Sinclair, Eddie Sharpton, and David Sharpton, all of GA; His companion of many years: Karen Fairchild. And too-many-to-mention friends as well as his loving canine family.

A memorial gathering will be held in Denton on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Mark and Keitha Williams' house at 6:00 pm.

A formal memorial service will be held at a later date in Atlanta, GA.
