Ian Reid Cloud, 32, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, after a two year battle with brain cancer.
Reid was known for his kindness and his soft spoken demeanor to all of his family and friends. He loved life and enjoyed sharing it with everyone that he came to know. Reid always spoke well of other people, choosing to believe the best about them always. Reid had a love for Jesus his Savior and was baptized and born again as a teen and was full of faith. Reid possessed the gifts of compassion, kindness, friendship, humor and integrity, always showing them forth in his life to everyone he met. Anyone that knew Reid would agree.
Reid was born on August 27, 1993, in Denton, Texas. Reid Graduated from Marcus High School in May 2011. He then attended The University of North Texas where he was on the SAE Engineering Racing Team in 2014, and President of the SAE team in 2016. He graduated in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Reid was a Design Engineer at Peterbilt Motors Company where he holds design patents from contributing to the design and innovation of their trucks.
Reid loved racing his Porsche in Autocross, shooting sporting clays, playing golf, attending Zumba workout classes, keeping up with Formula 1, playing music on electric guitar, learning new things, playing video games and had recently begun ballroom dancing with Leannah, the love of his life and best friend. He and Leannah loved having game nights online and playing board games with friends and family. Reid loved their seven cats, Orchid, Zinnia, Rhododendron, Mango, Ghost, Jarvis and Yoshi of whom will miss him dearly.
Reid is survived by his wife, Leaanah Nichols; his parents, Russell and Gay Cloud; his sister, Hope Korf and husband Ron; his brother, Brandon Cloud and wife Kimberly; his brother, Tony Cloud and wife Mirlet; his nephews, Austin, Garrett, David, Roger and Christopher; and his nieces, Auburn, Collins, Skye and Serenity; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
