Ira David Weinstein, 70, of Denton, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Denton, Texas. He was born on May 3, 1947 in Manhattan, New York to Herman and Toby (Buckowich) Weinstein. Ira married Rosemary Cox from West Palm Beach, Florida in 1969 and they were together for 48 years.

Ira joined the United States Air Force in 1971 and spent 27 years serving our country in duty stations across the country and overseas.

Once his military service was complete he moved from his last duty station in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Robson Ranch in Denton to be close to his daughter and her family. Ira and Rosemary developed many great friendships at Robson and belonged to numerous clubs. In retirement Ira enjoyed being involved in the activities at Robson, spending time with his daughter and watching is grandson Cannon play baseball.

Ira is survived by his wife Rosemary, daughter April Fechter and her husband Jimmy, and grandson, Cannon Fechter.

He is preceded in death by his parents,

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 3-5 P.M. at the Wildhorse Grill at Robson Ranch. The family requests that any memorials be made to Ira's favorite charity "Support Our Troops" c/o Quinn Sowell, 11413 Ridgedale Court, Denton, Texas 76207.
