Irene D. Walker passed away on Saturday April 13th, 2013 in Allen, Texas. Irene was born on July 14, 1920 in Kentwood, Louisiana to Grover and Eva Dickey. She married Harold Edwin Walker in Brattleboro, Vermont in April, 1942.

She devoted her life to her family and never met a stranger. She loved antiques, taking rides in the countryside, playing with her grandchildren and always a bird lover.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Harold Walker, sister Inez Marsh, her brothers Kennon Dickey and Grover Cleveland, and one grandchild, Aaron Norris.

She is survived by her daughters Candice McEnaney and husband Jack, of Plano, and Janice Ream of North Lake. Four grandchildren, Jill Freitas, Leah Herrington, Lori Rouse, and Holly Fulkerson. And ten great-grandchildren, Megan, Braeden, Braden, Connor, Garrett, Chase, Brook, Hayden, Jordan and Madison.

The service will be held on Tuesday Aril 16th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at DeBerry Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park with Brandon Henderson officiating.
