J Kirk Garner of Ponder, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 4, 2021 at the age of 48. He was born on November 24,1972 to John Miller 'CORKEY' Garner and Elizabeth Ann (Youndt) Garner.

Kirk was a graduate from Valley High School (Quitaque TX) in 1991 and was an AllState Football running back, as well as a state competitor in track. Kirk then attended Tarleton State University where he studied History and was a member of the track team competing in the 300 high hurdles and the mile relay. Kirk married Kimberly Diana Garner on November 1st, 2003 in Nassau, Bahamas. They spent 16 amazing years together and during that time were blessed with their daughter, Shelby Kathryn Garner (15).

He lived life to the fullest and had many passions, including history, aviation, track and restoring antique vehicles. Kirk spent 21 years as a private pilot, where he flew a Challenger 604. Fiercely loving, he was a volunteer and mentor of the Ponder and Liberty Christian Track Teams. Kirk was a firm believer in loud laughter, practical jokes and always loved hearing that laughter in his home, where all were welcome. Kirk never met a stranger and was a dedicated father, devoted husband and treasured friend. He was the most loving husband and father a family could ask for.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Garner and his beautiful daughter, Shelby of Ponder, Texas; father, Corkey Garner of Iredell, Texas ; mother, Elizabeth Garner of Richardson, Texas; brother Scott Garner, his wife, Tara and their children Mariss, Brigg and Memphis of Hutto, TX; Mother-In-Law Carol Hutchins of Nocona, TX; Sister-In-Law Glenna Hughes of Whitehouse, TX and her daughters Jade and Lesleigh; Brother-In-Law Sean Russell of San Diego, CA and his daughters Aiyana and Kiona and many other cherished family and friends.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at Texas Jet at Meacham Field on August 11, 2021 at 11:00am (200 Texas Way Fort Worth, TX 76164, Hanger 35N) In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the gofundme HERE .
