Obituary

Jack Allen Holloway ,

Age 83 died peacefully on the morning of December 7, 2021 in Denton County, Texas. Jack was born on October 13, 1938 in Drop, Texas to Lila Mae and Clarence Wesley "CW" Holloway.

Jack Holloway grew up in Drop, Texas milking cows and working on the family farm. Eventually, Jack began Holloway Harvesting and Holloway Cattle Co., and married the love of his life, Susie. Together, with their children, Holli, Melissa, Jeff, and Jimmy, a family business was born. Harvest was Jack's life. As the business grew, Jack taught an entire generation of boys many life lessons. He taught them to work hard, and what it meant to be a man. His lessons were not always easy, but he earned their respect at a level now seldom seen. Later in his life he enjoyed checking on his cows, and spending time with his great grandchildren. Jack was a great man, and will be greatly missed.

Jack is survived by his wife, Susie Holloway, children Jimmy, Jeff, Melissa and Holli, daughter-in-law, Sue Ellen, grandchildren, Sealy, Payton, Lacey, Dani, Dalton, Carson, Chandler, Courtlyn and Conner, great grandchildren, Kannon, Weston, and Holton Jack. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and all graduates of "Jack Holloway University."

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Justin Volunteer Fire Department for all of their care, love, and support toward Jack.

"...Children who are raised on a farm or ranch earn values that last a lifetime and that can be learned no other way. Farming and ranching provides education for life and no other occupation teaches so much about birth, growth and maturity in such a variety of ways…

[Farmers] believe when they grow old and sum up their days, they will stand tall and feel pride in the life they've lived. Farmers and ranchers believe in their vocation because it makes all of this possible."
