Jackie (Jack) Wade Brown passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his home in Sanger, Texas. Jack was born in Gainesville, Texas on June 9, 1957 to J.B. and Pauline (Blazek) Brown.
A graduate of Lake Dallas High School, Jack married the love of his life, Cheryl, in 1978. In 1983, Jack went to work for Denton County Electric Cooperative (now CoServ Electric), where he worked until his retirement at the end of 2020. Most of his closest friends were his co-workers that he spent time with over the course of his 37 years of service to the membership of CoServ Electric. The stories and legacy that he leaves behind are priceless. Outside of work he loved to hunt, play golf and spend as much time as possible with his grandsons Ethan and Evan. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Dorothy and Treecia, and his brothers Donald (Slim) and Roy (Red).
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl of Sanger, Texas; son Daniel and his wife Emily of Lantana, Texas; daughter Jennifer Brown of Sanger, Texas; son Ryan Brown of Denton, Texas; his grandsons Ethan and Evan; his brothers Paul and Darrell; his sisters Deloris and Lida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Monday, June 21, 2021, for visitation to honor Jack's life and legacy. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Sanger Cemetery ( 525 McReynolds Rd, Sanger, TX 76266 ).
