Obituary

Jack Jarvis, 84, of Argyle passed away on December 5, 2016 in Denton. He was born on November 7, 1932 to Wayne and Clara (Mowery) Jarvis in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

He was married to the late Lavonne Mae McCoy Jarvis. He was retired from the City of Denton Fleet Services Department and an active member of Jehovah Witnesses.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Anway of Argyle, sisters, Bea Clark, Betty Benable, Evelyn Dent, Donna Yeager, brothers, Hurston Jarvis, Roy Jarvis of all of Ohio, six grandchildren, Angela Anway, Jeremy Anway, Ryan Anway, Jessica Gunter, Aaron Flint, Jeanette Romines, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lavonne Jarvis, daughter, Kathy Stover and grandson, Benjamin Flint.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Argyle on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. The memorial service will be followed by a graveside burial service at 3:00 P.M. at Graham-Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, Texas.
