Jackie Dewey Potter, 74 of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was born on February 12, 1939 in Wise County, Texas to H.M. "Doog" Potter and Nellie Pitts Potter. He married Patricia Berry in Marietta, OK on November 29, 1957 and served in the Army National Guard.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 with the service beginning at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Kim Broadstreet officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Wise County. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.

Honorary pallbearers will include Buddy Bowles, Billy Tony, Don Gay, Darrell McMorris, Larry Lay, Jack Holloway, and Dennis Bryson.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Michael Potter; daughter, Brenda Wenninger; sisters, Nita Brown and Betty Brooks; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Lee Potter and Marvin Potter; and his sister, Mary Stephans.
