Jacqueline Bottorff, of Irving, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born July 27, 1929 in Salem Missouri. Her parents were Lyman Brady McCall and Zelma Ball McCall who preceded her in death. Her beloved husband of 53 years, Dr. James Allison Bottorff also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Bottorff and husband Peter Golding, Boynton Beach, Florida; Susan Cox and husband John, Corinth, Texas, and Elizabeth Neel and husband John, The Colony, Texas.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Sarah Townes and husband Jeffrey, Simon Ford and wife Megan; Aaron Cox and wife Elizabeth, Allison Schwaer and husband Travis; Jason Neel and Rachel Neel.
She is also survived by seven precious great-grandchildren, Madison and Ean Ford, Marc and Rebekah Warren, Madison and Lucas James Cox, and Skylar Mauro, one great-great grandchild, Hendrix Warren, and a host of exceptional nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline was one of seven children from a close-knit and loving family. Three brothers, Lyman, W.D. and Brady McCall, three sisters, Carol Stephens Hendrick, Helen Jackson and Jonita Boyd who all preceded her in death.
Jacqueline and James moved to Irving in 1967 after James accepted a position at LTV, an aerospace company. They soon built their family home in Irving and it was the place where the family congregated.
She was an active real estate broker for over 30 years, owning her own firm most of that time. Earlier in her career, she served on the board of directors of Irving Realtors. She was a former director of two Irving banks, one being Bank of the West for which she was one of the founders. Sher also served on the board of directors of the Widowed Persons Support organization and was a member of the Irving Senior Arts and Heritage Senior Center.
She and her husband were world travelers. She enjoyed gardening and loved to go fishing, but her greatest joy was gathering her family together for special occasions.
A memorial service will be at held DeBerry Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.
