A Tribute to a Cherished Life

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jacqueline (Jackie) King, who departed from this world on February 19, 2025, at an area hospital in Corinth, TX. Jackie was born on October 23, 1934, in Batesville, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Kenneth Kemp and Mary Ernestine Evans King, and her brother, James Kenneth King and his wife Betty Flack King.

Jackie lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication. She touched the lives of many and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering Christian spirit.

Throughout her life, Jackie was known for her remarkable achievements and contributions to the field of physical therapy. After graduating from Harding College, she received her physical therapy degree from the University of Kansas and her master's from Stanford University. As a physical therapist Jackie was a phenomenal teacher and trainer (University of Kansas and Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX). Many of her students loved her and kept up with her through the years.  She also was the founder and owner of Denton Sports and Physical Therapy Center in Denton, TX.

Jackie's profession spilled over to her spiritual life.  She was a loyal member of the Singing Oaks Church of Christ family in Denton, TX.  She was a prayer warrior and mentor as well as a chaplain there – visiting church members, and hospital patients.  Another role she dearly enjoyed was her service to the church food pantry.

Jackie was a beloved aunt and friend. She cherished her family and was a pillar of strength and support. Jackie's love for her family was evident in every action and word, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured forever.

Jackie is survived by her nephews, Mike (Patsy), Bob (Carmine), Curt (Sandy) King and numerous friends and colleagues who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Jackie's life will be held on March 26, 2025, at Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton, TX at 10 am. In lieu of flowers and to honor her memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Singing Oaks Church of Christ food pantry, Friends of the Family, or Ruth's Room – charities that were close to Jackie's heart.

May Jackie rest in peace, and may her spirit live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
