James Ferris Davis, Sr. Passed away August 6, 2020 in Argyle, Texas. Jim, as he was known, was born September 29, 1933 in Timpson, Texas to the late Ann B. (McCormack) & William Leonard Davis.

Jim retired from Turbo Refrigerating in Denton, Texas in 1997 after 32 years of service.

Jim loved all things cars and trucks. From collecting classic trucks to showing them in car shows to walking swap meets to tinkering under the hood to reading Old Car News, he could always be found enjoying this hobby. He also enjoyed fishing. Jim really relished his time with his large family. From his children to his great grandchildren, he had a unique and special relationship with everyone.

Jim is survived by sister: Mary Stevens; sons: James F. Davis, Jr. (wife Patty) of Sanger, Texas & Anthony (wife Donell) of Aubrey, Texas; Daughters: Frances Edmiston (husband Kenneth) of Euless, Texas, Lynda Renner of Weatherford, Texas, Sandra Aitken (husband Ed) of Fort Lupton, Colorado & Heidi Walker of Twin Falls, Idaho; Grandchildren: James F. Davis, III, Lynn Hillis, Melissa Bozeman, Julie Oldham, Jennifer Waldrip, Jessica Bullard, Stephanie Harrison, Michelle Erickson, John Smelley, Tammy Mitchell, Brian Smelly, Caitlin Walker, Emily Walker & Margaret Walker; numerous Great Grandchildren and an even larger extended family of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife Carolyn B. Davis (Cox); second wife Roberta A. Davis (Latham); daughter Susie Davis; and brothers Billy R. Davis & Leonard T. Davis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Sheppard Drive Baptist Church in Euless, Texas.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Jim.
