James "Jim" Cole, 78, of Krum passed away Monday, April 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 18, 1935 in Era to Gus and Clara Durham Cole. He graduated from Sanger High School and was a member of the Bolivar Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Jamie Sue Bradburn on June 17, 1978 in Denton. He retired from General Telephone (GTE).

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at Bolivar Baptist Church with Rev. Dickie Amyx officiating. Burial will follow at Bolivar Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Sue of Krum; daughters; Kim Curtis and husband Michael of Fort Worth, Shelly Markham and husband Randy of Denton and Cindy Morisak and husband Matt of Krum; son, Shane Norman and wife Pam of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren; sister, Mary Shelton of Sanger; brothers, Bill Cole of Krum and Martin Cole of Bryan and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Pete Cole and Dale Cole.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Bolivar Baptist Church, 6690 West FM 455, Sanger, Texas 76266.
