James Robert George, Jr. of Plano, TX passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017.  He was born on April 7, 1956 in Denton, TX to James Robert George, Sr. and Diantha Louise Cogdell George.  Rob married the love of his life, Patricia Alexander in 1974.

Rob was a joy to be around, passionate about his family, Texas, faith and politics.  He loved his three girls more than life itself.  Humor was his best trait; always making up songs, stories and games, poking fun at his loved ones, just like his dad did.  He always gave his love and time, despite being weak from his illness.  No matter what came his way, he kept his faith, telling his girls and wife to do the same.  His faith in Jesus is what gives his family peace, knowing that he is in heaven with no more pain or suffering – and all the chocolate he could ever eat.

Rob is survived by his wife, Patricia George; his three daughters and two grandsons, Brittany George; Michelle Johnson, her husband, Jonathan and their son, David; Kristin Salazar, her husband, Anthony and their son, Eli; his older sister, Phyllis George; and Myles, the family dog who was his constant companion.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father and little dude, Dexter.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 31, 2017 from 6-8 PM at DeBerry Funeral Home: 2025 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201 .  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 1 PM at The First Baptist Church in Denton, TX: 1100 Malone St, Denton, TX 76201 .
