James Chester "JC" Hogan, Jr. 76, of Denton, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in Arlington, Texas. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 22, 1945 to James and Edith Hogan.

JC grew up in Dallas, attending schools there. He later attended Arlington College.

JC worked as a delivery driver for WW Transport prior to his retirement.  He was a Pastor for the Upper Room Church for 20 years and a Pastor for over 30 years.

He met Carolyn, his future wife, at Full Gospel Church in Denton. The pair went on to marry on April 28, 1990 in Denton, blending their families into one. They both share a love of Jesus Christ.

JC is preceded in death by his father James Hogan Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Hogan of Denton, mother Edith Hogan, children, Mark Hogan and wife Marie, Tammy Lail and husband Donne, Sherry James and husband Rodney, Melissa McDaniel and husband Ricky, Kenneth Hogan, Kim Esterly and husband Dave, Kelle Darr, Tonya Williams and husband James, and 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Gary Hogan, DeWayne Hogan and Kendrick Hogan as well as several aunts, uncles and lots of loving friends.

A funeral service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas on Monday, March 28, 2022 beginning at 2:00 P.M. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, with interment immediately following the service at Roselawn Memorial Park, also in Denton.
