James "Jim" Roger Horvath passed away at his home in Alvord, Texas on the morning of Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Jim was born in Omaha Nebraska to Dennis and Barbara Horvath on October 7, 1969. After high school Jim started his career in the corrugated packaging business at Bates Container. In 2020, Jim retired from Smurfit Kappa after 31 years of service. In 1990, Jim and Chamanea married and went on to have 3 children, Sydney, Jordan and Jared. In 2022 Jim and Chamanea retired to the country and built their dream home in Alvord. Jim spent his days raising quail, making snacks for the chickens, making sure all was well in the neighborhood and fishing on Lake Chama.

Jim is preceded in death by his son Jared Horvath, father Dennis Horvath and brother Timothy Horvath.

Jim is survived by his wife Chamanea Horvath, daughter Sydney Horvath, son Jordan Horvath, granddaughter Hadlee Carr, mom Barbara Horvath, sister Tammy Crew, brother-in-law Tony Crew and multiple nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Grace Community Church on March 2,2024 at 1:00 pm.
