James Houston Hughes II, of Northlake, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2016 in Denton, TX.
He was born on June 15, 1957 in Big Spring, Texas, to James and Jean (Nixon) Hughes. He attended
Big Spring Schools, Texas A&M University and Southern Methodist University and was an Electrical
Engineer for Texas Instruments and Acuative. James was heavily involved in his church as an Elder for
both Oak Hills Community Church and Crossroads Bible Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Kelley Hughes, daughter, Kelley Harms of Thailand, son, James H
Hughes, III of Northlake, Texas, sister Karen Strong of Austin, Texas, two grandchildren, Jordan K.
Harms and James H. Hughes IV, and a whole lot of friends.
He is preceded in death by his father James H Hughes and his mother Jean Hughes.
A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Bible Church in Double Oak, Texas, on Saturday,
September 10, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Piland and Pastor Mike Messerli officiating.
