James (Jim) Oliver Bridges, 57, of Denton passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, surrounded by friends and family in Denton, Texas. He was born May 14, 1960 in Denton, Texas, to Ralph William and Oleta Kate (Blackwell) Bridges.

Jim is survived by his mother, Oleta Bridges, daughter, Katie Chatman and husband Chance, sons, Anthony Bridges, John Bridges, sister, Becky Johnson, brothers, Tom Bridges, Joe Bridges, Sam Bridges, three grandchildren, Logan, Bryson, and Carter Chatman.

He is preceded in death by his father.

He retired as a lineman from Denton Municipal Electric after over thirty years of service. In addition to his family, he loved working on his race cars, especially his Hugger Orange 1969 Camaro.

We'll miss you Pop Pop.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 22, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. both at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery in Decatur, Texas.
