James Dwight Parker, age 72, died of a heart condition on October 29, 2022. Graduating from Eisenhower High School in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1969 and receiving his degree in hotel-restaurant management from Oklahoma State University in 1973, Jim enjoyed life and a good glass of wine. He spent many years  with his friends in Austin, Texas working in the restaurant and real estate fields. Jim is survived by his sister, Jonee Paul, her husband, Al, his niece, Brandi, of Denton, TX and his nephew, Scott, of Alabama. He was also a great uncle to Katie, Nikki, Parker, and David. As Jim requested, he was cremated, and the spreading of his ashes will take place at a later date in Austin.
