IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James William
Phillips
September 16, 1957 – December 27, 2021
James William Phillips passed away in Carrollton, Texas on Monday, December 27, 2021. James was born in Newport News, VA to Mason and Clare Phillips married Kathleen Sweet on July 11, 1994 in Illinois.
He enjoyed doing God's work and writing Bible studies to help teach people about God's word.
He is preceded in death by his mother & father, Clare & Mason Phillips.
Visitation will be held at DeBerry Funeral Home from 11AM to 1PM on Monday, January 3, 2022. Funeral services will start at 1PM with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
James is survived by his wife: Kathleen Phillips, (Family) Crystal, Steven, Grandkids: Jordan, Matthew, Briana, Ben, Samantha, and great grandkids Cameron & Aurora, (Sisters) Terry, Stella, Linda, Lisa, Anne and Families.
James was well educated not only with school but self-motivated to teach himself. He was involved in so many things.
What he loved the most was writing books to show that truth matters and did this by using scripture only. He called it: A Better Bible Study Method. He was extremely passionate about this.
James was the best husband anyone could ask for. He was very romantic and would sing to me often. He was very light on his feet and the grandkids would catch us dancing in the kitchen. He helped raise 3 of our grandchildren and loved them as his own. He had so much love to give.
He came from a big family with 5 sisters and a lot of nieces and nephews. He loved going to Illinois to visit the family. When he went at Christmas time, he would arrive singing "I'll Be Home for Christmas" by Elvis. James made a huge impact on so many people. Not only from his school days and family but through his Bible study books he wrote. He is loved very dearly by so many
