Obituary

James Alexander Powe 81 of Sanger went to be With his lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 2, 2019.  He was born on April 24th,1938 in Philadelphia PA. to Lester and Anna Powe.  He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he was known amongst his corad's as the Prayer Soldier. He had a love for his Country.   He Retired from Denton Independent School District, Special Education.  He was gifted in working with Special need Students and seeing their accomplishments.  He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife Clintona Powe of Sanger; sons, Dwight Jones of Sanger and Marcus Jones of Lake Dallas; grandsons, Dwight Jones Jr, August Jones, Cedric Jones, and King D. Jones.  Other surviving members are Barbara Hunter mother; sister-in- laws of Denton Labarbara Franklin, Sharron Morris Kennisha and Jenny Morgan.;  brothers-in-laws are Clinton Morris of Germany and Kennieth Hunter of Chicago; also with a Host of Nieces and Nephews.

A Committal Service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on Monday, September 9, 2019 with U. S. Army honors.
