James Thurman Hunter, 82, of Denton, passed away Monday, January 25, 2016. He was born January 21, 1934 in Austin, Texas to Jess A. Hunter and Opal Inez Adams. He was a self-employed craftsman. He served in the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1956.

James is survived by two sons Joel Hunter and Jack Hunter both from Denton, TX, one brother Jerry Wayne Hunter of Denton, TX, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his parents, wife Minnie Newborn Hunter and one son James Nolan Hunter.

There will be a celebration of life for James on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the VFW, 909 Sunset Denton, Texas.
