LEAVITT, Jane Arden McInnis---Jane was born March 17, 1934, the only daughter of Thelma Grace Cape and Charles Patrick McInnis, and departed this earth on October 29, 2014. She was born and educated in Missouri and became a Texan in l958. Together with her husband, Richard, and Robert Stevenson, she helped found Leavitt Electric Co. and was its Secretary/Treasurer for 25 years, retiring with her husband in l998. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, sailing, extensive traveling, bridge, her family, and especially her sweet 11 grandchildren! She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church for many years, volunteering with various committees.

Jane leaves her husband and soul mate of ­­46 years, Richard. Children and grandchildren, both hers and his, include Sharon Warren, husband Mark; Ann Lange; Reid Lange, wife Margaret; Rick Leavitt, wife Lila; and Kay Fowler, husband Shawn. She leaves best friends whose love and support all of Jane's life meant so much to her. She often said she had the best of mothers in Thelma, the best of husbands in Richard, the best of children, and the best gift of faith in her Catholic heritage. "We have loved her in life, let us not abandon her until we have conducted her by our prayers into the house of our Lord".

Jane's Memorial service will be on November 1, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton at 11:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of her life at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Denton.
