Janet Hardegree, 66, of Denton passed away at her home on July 21, 2018. She was born on August 25, 1951 in Altus, Oklahoma to Ernest Dean and Betty (Rogers) Harrod.

Janet graduate from Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1969 and Midwestern State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1975. She worked many years for FEMA in Denton and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

She is survived by her son and wife Jason and Ladonna Hardegree Amarillo, Texas. Her mother, Betty Byars of Devol, Oklahoma. Aunt Sue Bizzle of Denton, Texas. Grandchildren Brady and Cameron Hardegree of Wichita Falls, Texas and Bailey and Taylor Mcalpine of Amarillo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Dean Harrod and brother, Jimmy Wayne Harrod.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 5-7 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Tipton Cemetery in Tipton, Oklahoma.
