Obituary
Janet Helen Mahoney was called to heaven on May 18, 2012 in Denton, TX. She was born November 2, 1936 in Rochester, New York to Herman and Ethel Grashof.
Janet graduated from Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY. She married John E. Mahoney in 1956 in Rochester, New York. Together they had 4 children. She was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. Janet was very devoted to her family and loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed the time she had with family and friends. She loved to travel extensively. She was a devote Christian and has attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since she has been a resident of Texas for the last 7 ½ years.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband John E. Mahoney; daughters, Barbara Mapes and Debbie and her husband Larry Reichhart; sons, Mike and his wife Terry Mahoney, and John R. Mahoney; grandchildren, Natasha and her husband Ian, Brody and Bailey Mapes, Andrea and Kyle Reichart and her brother Bob Grashof of Florida.
A memorial service will be held on Monday May 21, 2012 7:00 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association.
