Jeanette Darleen Wohlslagel, 77, passed away peacefully on New Year's Day, just before sunrise.

Born April 2, 1938 to Thelma and Guy Sharar in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she attended school in rural Preble County, Ohio, and graduated from Verona High School in 1956. She married Jerry Wohlslagel in 1962. As a wife, mother, and to friends she was known by her middle name Darleen.

She was appreciated for her humility, honesty, and love of helping others. At the time of her death, she was working as a caregiver with Kind Companions. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God in Denton.

She is survived by mother-in-law Mary Wohlslagel of Centerville, Ohio, daughter Dorothy Wohlslagel of Eugene, Oregon and son Daniel Wohlslagel of Celina, Ohio, and grandchildren Leo Hartmann of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Christina Kindlon of Arlington, VA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9th at 2PM, at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God in Denton with visitation on Friday, January 8th from 6-8PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
