Janice Rose Boykin, 82, of Krum passed away on December 15, 2022, at her home. She was born in Haynesville, Louisiana on April 10, 1940, to Coy and Dorothy Hines.

Janice married Wayne Rivers in 1958 in Haynesville, Louisiana and divorced him in 1982, and moved to Sanger. Jan and the kids later moved to Krum, Texas where she met Goerge Geren, her soulmate, and moved to Florida. Jan loved to travel and made many trips all over the US with George and they soon settled in Cookeville, TN. George passed away on May 19, 2003, and she finally moved back to Texas.

Janice,  a.k.a Mimi loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed listening to music on the back porch while watching all her kids and grandkids play; she especially enjoyed watching Blake learn to rope. She loved being outside, going fishing, and camping. More importantly, Mimi loved to sit, watch the birds from her chair, and listen to the wind chimes. Mimi loved to laugh and play cards and in her younger days loved to go dancing. She loved to prank and play jokes with others and eagerly awaited to be "scared" daily by her son Kent. But most of all she just enjoyed being with her family no matter where that was. She was loved as much as she loved and everyone who knew Mimi loved her and will be terribly missed by all.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff Rivers and partner Mary Beth Estep of Florida, Kent Rivers and his wife, Melynda of Krum, Tony Rivers and his wife, Brittany of Aubrey, Mike Rivers and his wife Cindy of Aubrey, and her daughter Pepper Rivers of Ponder. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Aaron Rivers, Amber Rivers, Shelldon Rivers, Ashlyn Craven, Makenna Rivers, Crayley Rivers, Blake Rivers, and Kaleb Rivers, and five bonus grandchildren, Alexa Miller, Laney Miller, Garrin Martin, Kylie Miller, and Lucas Miller, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, son, Dale Rivers, soulmate, George Geren, sister, Ramona Mills, brothers, Buddy Hines and Keith Laughlin.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Christian Center AG Church in Krum.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 10 AM at Christian Center AG Church, officiated by Joe Mayo and burial will follow at Jackson Cemetery.
