Janice Lajuan
Robinson
September 5, 1948 – June 15, 2022
Janice LaJuan Robinson, was born on September 5,1948 in Washington D.C. She was the fourth of six Children Born to Grace Tigget. She departed this earthly life and entered God's Kingdom on Wednesday June 15, 2022.
At an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized at Beulah Baptist church in NE Washington DC. She began singing in the choir at Beulah, which lead to joining the Gospel Music Workshop of America (DC Chapter). She attended several GMWA events. Janice had a strong belief in God, she often said "only what you do for and in the name of Jesus the Christ will last"
Janice always had a heart for giving every man, women, or child that needed somewhere to live she would take them in. Janice was a serious sports fan, the Raiders was her football team, she often would tease her baby sister Donna for being a cowgirl since she was a Dallas Cowboy fan. Her number two team was ( Dallas rival the former Washington Redskins). Janice's basketball team was the Celtics. She would cheer her teams on loudly, and when she watched neutral teams, she would say affectionately "I don't have a dog in this fight"
Janice was a loving Mother and grandmother she was affectionately called "Gran" by her grandchildren she nurtured anyone that needed love. She was an excellent cook and an awesome with her spiritual communication of agape love . She would pray for anyone on the spot and continue to check on you too.
Janice had a quick sense of humor, and a beautiful smile. She loved to laugh and spread joy. She was always there to encourage and to comfort the hurting with her world-famous hugs.
She was educated by the DC school system. Obtained technical training at "Control Data Institute", which she studied basic electronics and was trained in digital circuitry.
Janice worked for Xerox Corporation as a repair technician and customer Service representative for (25 years). The Xerox journey relocated her to Ohio, where she promptly found a church home at New Salem Baptist church in Columbus Ohio, she joined the Mass choir and sang on "We Win" CD in 2001. The final relocation from Xerox was Lewisville Texas. This is where she gained the extended family of Westside Baptist church. She enjoyed singing and traveling with the choir at Westside. She later went on to retire in 2016. She was fond of her Xerox family. In later years she enjoyed Senior living at Dogwood Estates where she gathered another edition to her extended family. She was also caring for "Rascal" the little family dog.
She was preceded in death by mother, Grace Tigget. Her siblings: Velma Minor, Thessalonian Tinnen, Virgil Tinnen, and her baby sister Donna Parker.
Left to mourn and enjoy her memories: Children: Frank Robinson Jr (Sonny),LaJuan Proctor,Frederick Robinson (Fred), and Gregory Proctor she referred to him lovingly as her "Bonus son"
Grandchildren: Shonda Bragg, Naomi Lewis, Elijah Robinson, and (Duncan )Frederick Robinson II
Great grandchildren: LaNaiya, Jaliya, Harley, Brielle
And a host of extended family members and dear friends ❤️
Time is not borrowed time is just spent, with everyone that God has lent to us for moments...
