Janice Carolyn (Davidson) Taylor, 77, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2022, surrounded by her family. We rejoice that her faith has become sight and that she is now joyful and whole in God's presence.

Janice was born in Plainview, Texas to B.E. & Beatrice (Keen) Davidson on March 10, 1945.  She was raised in Levelland, Texas and graduated from Levelland High School in 1963.  After high school, she was employed with the city of Lubbock.  She married Ted O'Neal (Teddy) Taylor, Jr. in 1970 and after a short time living in Lubbock, they moved to Levelland to raise their family.  Teddy and Janice welcomed a daughter, Shelley, in 1972 and then twin sons, Brad and Allen, in 1973.  Janice was a homemaker until Teddy's unexpected death in 1981.  She then attended South Plains College and graduated with her nursing license.  She worked as an LVN for a local nursing home, the Texas WIC program, and then for Texas Tech Student Health department in Lubbock.  Janice was a member of the Church of Christ.

Janice lived in Levelland until 1996, when she moved to Denton due to health issues and to be closer to her family. For the past six years, she lived in Denton Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and enjoyed her fellow residents, the dedicated staff, and the many activities there. Her favorite pastime was reading her Bible.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Shelley Totter and husband, Jeff, of Denton, sons Brad Taylor and wife, Christina, of Fort Worth and Allen Taylor of Fort Worth, granddaughters Elizabeth Totter and Caileigh Taylor, and grandson Benjamin Taylor.

She is preceded in death by her father, Buford Ellis Davidson, her mother, Gladys Beatrice Keen Davidson, and her husband, Teddy Taylor.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Home in Denton, Texas.
