Janie Thomas Armes left us on May 5, 2017 after a long illness.  She was born on September 9, 1934 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Frank and Leona Levell Moore. She moved to Denton, Texas in September 1988. She was employed at Denton State School for 4 years, also employed by DHS-FEMA from March 1998 to May 2010. Janie married William Armes on October 16, 1999.

She was preceded in death by a brother, parents, husband, a son and a two granddaughters.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Janice Krause & husband Jonnie of Sioux Falls, SD.,Billie Jo Gilliland of Tyler, TX, One son Duane Rutledge & wife Terri of North Richland Hills, TX, 4 sisters: JoAnn Vibbard of Pottsboro, TX, Sue Starnes of Denton, TX, Gayle Dover & husband Tommy of Cole, OK, Donna George & husband Don of Krum, TX. One brother: Tommy Moore & wife Beverly of Azle, TX, 16 Grandchildren as well as a number of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Her Grandsons will be Horary Pallbearers.
