Janis Lee King, 59, of Denton passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1954 in Ozarka, Alabama to Robert and Camillia Lunsford. Janis married Gerald "Keith" King on April 29, 1977 in Denton.


There will be a visitation held from 12-2 P.M. with the service to follow at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 26, 2013 in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.


Janis is survived by her husband; daughter, Krista L. King of Justin; son, Joey King and wife Dawn King of Lantana, TX; sisters, Kathryn King of Richardson, and Donna Scribner of Seymour; grandchildren, Baylee King, Hatti Jules King, William Spurgin, and Janice Grace Spurgin; nieces, Lisa Spurgin and husband Kevin of Denton, Erin King, and Gena Scribner; mother, Camilla Hintergardt and 2nd father Bud Hintergardt. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Loo Lunsford.
