Jarod Lee Hobson, 40, of Ft. Worth, passed away at his home on April 2, 2024. He was born on August 14, 1983, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jarod was preceded in death by his mother, Doris McCoy, and he left behind his only child, Olivia Hebenstreit of Fort Worth, Texas, his father Derry Hobson of Indiana, stepmother Brenda Hobson of Indiana, and his sisters Malia Hobson (Jared Brackeen) of Saint Jo, Texas, Felicia Arpiarian of Atlanta, Georgia, and Brandi Scoggins of Roanoke, Texas, niece Reese Brackeen and nephew Hunter Brackeen and his dedicated friend Brandon Spencer.

Jarod was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.  As a young child Jarod developed the love for Hockey, he spent many years doing travel games & practices all over with his dad. He was a member of the 1998 California State Championship. He also played for the University of North Texas and won the Division III Championship in 2003. Jarod was a graduate of DeVry University.

Jarod was an avid reader, he was extremely passionate about researching anything that sparked his interest by the end he could tell you EVERYTHING you needed to know on that topic. He was looking forward to the upcoming eclipse.

He had many hobbies, he grew and grafted countless cactus plants. His love and dedication to his job at Cloth & Glaze where he was very knowledgeable about pottery, firing the kiln, and glassblowing. His coworkers all enjoyed working with him at the store.

Now if you knew Jarod, you knew Bunny, his faithful four legged sidekick. Together they spent many evenings going on dog walks to the pond, looking for the friendly neighbor dogs, and making sure the ducks were still floating the pond.  Jarod was always searching for the truth, for deeper meaning or purpose in life. I'd like to believe that he's finally found it.
