Jason Daniel Cotten, 39, passed away in Denton, Texas on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas to Ricky Cotten and Elizabeth Russell Specht. His greatest joy in life was his boys and raising them to be true gentlemen. He loved spending time with his family, and his soulmate, Robin. Those that knew him knew he loved his friends and always tried to be a great friend in return. He lived a unique life and had the most amazing tales to tell. He could always make anyone smile with his stories and infectious laughter. He played college football in Kilgore and worked as an IT project manager for Align. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, football, and the Texas Rangers. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jason was preceded in death by his dad, Ricky, and is survived by his wife Robin and sons, Samuel and Chase; mother Elizabeth Specht, and her husband Greg; brother Travis Cotten, and his wife Allison; brother Mathew Cotten; brother Graham Cotten; his stepmom, Cynthia Cotten; stepbrother, Joey Schaefers, and his wife Robin; stepbrother Timothy Schaefers; and stepbrother Justin Schaefers.

A memorial service will be held at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, September 22, 2022.
