Obituary
Jay Scott Cook, 65, of Denton passed away on April 8, 2018 at his home. Scott was born on August 28, 1952 to Murl James and Willie Louise Cook in Dallas, Texas.
Scott graduated college with his master's degree and was a lecturer at the University of North Texas for 30 years. He was instrumental to the development and success of the student UNT cable channel, NTTV.
He is survived by his son, Sam Cook of Denton, his sister, Lou Ann Cook of Sanger, step-mother, Fern Cook of Richardson and step-sister, Cheryl Rose and husband Gerald from Garland.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at a future date.
At his request, in place of gifts or flowers, you may make donations to the Denton Animal Support Foundation.
